SEND IN YOUR OWN FABRIC - Choose Your Own Cropped Shirt

Struggling to part with your childhood duvet cover? We can help it grow old with you! We offer a tailored service to turn your duvet cover into a cute as hell bowling shirt.


To place your order, start by picking your sizing + style from the drop down menu.

Once you've placed your order, send us an email with your order number and we will send over the postal information to you. Our email is sillygirlclub@gmail.com


You will then need to send your quilt to us ready to be made!


It will take approx 6 weeks for me to make and then I will return the shirt and rehome any leftover fabric scraps.


If you would like to have the fabric sent back to you, please be sure to let me know in your initial email.
Size 24 (Bust 54in / Arm 22in / Length 24.5in)
If you are unsure on your sizing, I recommend laying your favourite shirt or top on the floor flat + measuring it. Measure the bust from an inch above the armpit seam, the width of the sleeve and then the length of the shirt from collar to base. Although out shirts say they are cropped, they are long enough to tuck into high-waisted jeans.
We recommend sending a duvet cover that has been made from cotton or a combo of cotton/polyester. I would not recommend 100% polyester for clothing (it'll have a shiny finish) as the fabric isn't breathable or nice to wear.
Large Print
Most duvet covers have two different prints on them, see middle photo for reference of this. One is made with the large front print + one with the smaller repetitive print.

Please see the sizing chart below so you know what to expect from our cropped shirts, they sit long enough to tuck into high waisted jeans.

Please fill out the form for your custom shirt made from your own fabric. You must be able to supply an entire duvet cover for sizes over 16.

Sizes 16-24 require a duvet cover with two sides to it. 

Sizes 6-14 can be made from flat sheets/duvet covers/curtains.

Sizes 6 - 10 can be made from fitted/flat/duvet covers/curtains.

Please see photos for great examples of shirts you can order. All shirts are a size 10 shown on a size 8 body for reference of fit.

They have straight cut sleeves and are a boxy fit, slightly cropped at the waist and fit perfectly with high waisted jeans. If you supply a double sided duvet cover there may be the option to make it slightly longer depending on your size - just drop me an email to sillygirlclub@gmail.com. 

If you send a duvet cover with two sides, please let me know which side you would like to use (or a bit of both!) 

Our shirts are made from vintage sheets so they come in a pre loved condition, some may have slight fading or marks, if there is anything major we try to take clear photos of these and this is always reflected with a discounted price.

These shirts are made from 100% repurposed fabrics, usually unwanted duvet covers, the stabiliser I use for the collars is made from 100% recycled fibres and the buttons are made from either seeds, shells or recycled cotton, depending on which shirt you pick. We're not just sustainable, we're ethical too, really ethical - in our clothing is made in the middle of the UK, in our own studio so that we know everyone is being paid a fair wage. We currently have a small team of 2 girls who work alongside each other. 

 

All of our clothing is made from unwanted duvet covers or deadstock fabric. 

We reuse this fabric to give it a longer life and to stop it ending in landfill. We hope that in repurposing old duvet covers into something that you can use today, they will grow old with you. 

 

They will be shipped in 100% eco friendly packaging which can either be recycled or put in with your compost to biodegrade, depending on your preference. Just make sure to cut off the postage label before doing so! 

Shipping and returns policies.

We are based in England. While we make every effort to keep costs to a minimum, there is always a chance you will be charged customs fees if you are shopping from outside of the UK. We are not responsible for paying these, please bare this in mind when purchasing your item.

Please be aware, every item is one of a kind and therefore we do not accept returns unless an item is faulty. If you do return an item. Please be aware that you will be asked to cover the cost of shipping the item back to us and will not be refunded the cost of shipping paid. We are a very small business offering bespoke items and therefore do not have an obligation to refund bespoke products.
